Working as a chartered building surveyor, I am often heartened by fantastic ground breaking initiatives that I often witness on construction sites. Today I visited the Sewell construction site at the new health centre in Bransholme, Hull. When you enter the main reception they have a 5 day communications board. When I was working as part of the Lean Manufacturing team, one of the key messages was communication and involvement! This is one of the best examples of how a construction company has used this ethos to successfully manage safety on their construction site.
